Many times we are fearful that we will not be able to finish what we start, so we don’t start. When you consider the amount of work it will take to clean up your city, fix your local school, or provide clean water to a billion people, the work load can seem to much to even start. So you don’t.
If the size of the problem paralyzes you from action, try this:
Zoom in and focus on one.
Mother Theresa said “If you can’t feed a hundred people, just feed one.” Don’t stare at the huge crowd, focus your attention on an individual. Because the reality is, to feed a hundred you have to start with one.
If you want to reach your city with the gospel, start by reaching one person or family.
If you want to end the orphan crisis, start by adopting one baby.
If you want to write 50 books in your life, start by writing one.
What is the huge vision you dream about but the scope of the work scares you?
