Interview next week you will not want to miss

Backstage Leadership, Interviews Apr 14, 2010 2 Comments

Next week I’m doing an interview for the Backstage Leadership podcast with Scott Belsky. I am very excited. Scott is the founder of Behance and the 99% Conference and author of soon to be released book Making Ideas Happen.  Behance is passionate about organizing the creative world and helping people execute on their ideas and get them out the door.

If you are an idea person, a creative person, or want to be, then you do not want to miss this opportunity. Scott spent over 6 years researching and interviewing hundreds of creatives across industries for the content of his book. Here’s your chance to ask Scott some questions. Post them in the comments and I’ll get to them in the interview. Remember as Scott says, it’s not about ideas, it’s about making ideas happen.

This interview will be up on the Backstage Leadership podcast later in the Spring.

Post your questions now.

Backstage Leadership Interview: Jon Acuff

Backstage Leadership, Interviews Dec 11, 2009 7 Comments

A brief interview with blogger Jon Acuff of Stuff Christians Like. Jon shares some great insights on the fact that his blog wasn’t an over night success. He actually spent lots of time (years) writing before the current blog. And it paid off. I also love Jon’s heart to use his platform for good. Through the readership of his blog he built 2 schools in Vietnam. If you like to be a part of that, click here. By the way, the interview gets cut short, so hopefully we’ll finish the full version soon.

Here’s an interview with Kyle, who has been a part of 2 huge new start ups and has some great insight. His first project was launching a new TV station, that’s right, a TV station called Halogen. Its available to 13 million people across the US. The second start up is a really cool project called Help-Portrait. What started as a little ideas has spread to thousands of people. On 12/12/09, thousands of photographers across country are taking portraits of people who can’t afford it for free. Its a very simple idea of love and compassion. Listen in as Kyle talks about these projects.
