One of the biggest barriers to doing something crazy for God is lack of funding.
Are you called to:
- Write a book?
- Plant a church?
- Start a non-profit?
- Become a missionary?
- Adopt a child?
- Launch a new business?
If you are called to any 0f those things, then you know they all have one thing in common: they need money to execute. And odds are, you don’t have the money to fully fund it. Three ideas about money that can help:
- No one else had money when they started either.
Ok, well most people didn’t anyway. If most start with no money, yet somehow make it, then you have to know it’s possible.
- Money is not your biggest obstacle.
Your biggest obstacle for doing something crazy for God is you. If God has called you to do it, then he’ll fund it. Most times the money will only follow you off the cliff once you’ve jumped.
- Start small and build.
If you think you have to launch with the size of what your dream looks like in 10 years, then you are wrong. It’s okay to start small and to build. Do the very best with a $10,000 budget. Then next year, increase it to $20,000, then $50,000, then $250,000. Don’t be afraid of small. Just do good work. They money will follow.
Don’t let lack of funding slow you down. Go for it anyway and see what happens.
