You must care more

When it comes to your dream, idea, organization, non-profit, business, etc., no one will care more about it than you–and that’s the way it should be. When it’s not, then you need to do some serious evaluation.

Your job as the leader is to help others own as much of the vision as possible and empower them to achieve the results you desire. This all starts with them following your lead. They will follow your pace. They will follow your attitude. This is especially true and important in a start-up.

Don’t expect them to pull all-nighters if you don’t.

Don’t expect them to raise money if you aren’t.

Don’t expect them to share the vision if you won’t.

Don’t expect them to be optimistic if you are negative.

If you work all nighters to get your product out the door, they’ll probably do it too.

If you are out raising money, they’ll probably raise some too.

If you share the vision, they’ll probably share it too.

If you believe, they’ll most likely believe too.
