I was just talking about this concept with a friend last night (ironic, that we were talking but not doing, huh?). Regardless, what was enlightening for me in that conversation – and a concept that we desperately cannot forget – is that if we call ourselves Christ followers, these actions must come from an overflow from intimacy with Christ. Otherwise, they become actions and things we are doing to earn God’s favor.

Intimacy is the first thing, and it’s a constant thing – before we can have a heart for what God cares about…lest we try to justify ourselves as so great because of even what we’re doing.

BTW, love what you are doing with Backstage Leadership. Keep rocking it!

I need courage to use those legs. Sometimes a dream seems safer when it hasn’t hit the air. But, maybe God has newer dreams to replace it, if it ends up low on the ground or tears.
