I gave my wife a goat for Christmas…

along with some honey bees, a water filter, soccer balls, and a mosquito net. She got me some baby chicks, children’s Bibles, milk and some food. It was the craziest store either one of us had ever been in. Ok, it wasn’t a store, we went shopping out of the Samaritan’s Purse Christmas catalog. But I’m pretty sure some friends down south are thinking they’ve actually been in a store like that! We had so much fun picking out these gifts (or you can give a % of a gift like we did in some cases) that would bring hope to those suffering around the world. Sharing food and the Gospel, it doesn’t get any better than that.

If you are looking for some ways to bless others this Christmas, here are some ministries that we support and believe in:

Samaritan’s Purse: Christmas catalog is awesome

Free Chains: help stop child sex slavery

Thrive Africa: giving hope to South Africa

Compassion: Everyone should sponsor at least 1 child

What ministries or organizations are you supporting this year?

My grandmother loves sheep, so we gave her one on the condition that she finds a good home for it in Uganda haha.

Love it! I’m sure it found a great home. I suppose you are against giving chickens!
