How do you boast?

In trying to remain open about my motives and the stuff that drives me, I came across a verse that is a clear warning to all young leaders. This is memory worthy.

“For everything in the world–the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does–comes not from the Father but the world.” 1 John 2:16

Wow. When I boast about what “I have done” then it actually is a slap in the face to God. Everything we have is from him. Every idea, dream, vision, ministry, church, investment, car, house, shirt, cell phone, book, and I could go on and on. It is all from the grace of God.

When ever we think “I did this!” or “I accomplished that!” we are wrong. To him be the glory, as its His anyways.
